ABOUT THE JUNIOR TENNIS FOUNDATION

The Junior Tennis Foundation was incorporated in 1982 “to promote the development of tennis among underprivileged children as a means of healthful recreation and physical fitness.”

Today, the JTF’s mission is to provide financial support to tennis programs within the USTA Eastern Section that serve underprivileged and/or at-risk youth and people with disabilities. Working in close partnership with USTA Eastern and the supported programs, JTF has provided over $3 million dollars in grants since its inception.

JTF also oversees the USTA Eastern Tennis Hall of Fame, which honors players, volunteers and contributors who have impacted tennis in the USTA Eastern Section. Each year, three or four individuals are inducted into the Hall. Proceeds from the annual induction ceremony go to supported programs and scholarships.
